Has previously taught as an Assistant Professor in New Media + Design at Western Carolina University, working with both undergraduate and graduate students; clients include Bank of America, UMCOR, Webster Hall, The Holocaust Memorial Center, The Mountain Heritage Museum of NC, Cranbrook and Western Carolina; previously served as Assistant VP of Multimedia for Merrill Lynch; design awards from ID magazine, Cranbrook, Output:06 International Design Competition, and recipient of a Brooklyn Arts Council Grant.

Katya teaches in the MS Communications Design program.
