Operation Jumpstart multicultural scholarship program

The 4A’s is excited to announce the second year of Operation Jumpstart IV. The Operation Jumpstart Scholarship (OJS) Program was created in 1998 to assist talented multicultural art direction and copywriting students attend 4A’s selected portfolio schools and colleges. Since 1998, the program has assisted over 230 aspiring advertising professionals, providing financial resources needed to make their dreams come to fruition.

To be eligible to apply, students must:
—Be registered as an incoming graduate or portfolio student at one of the six designated OJS IV portfolio schools (Pratt Institute is one of them) or a full-time junior at one of the two designated OJS IV colleges
—Identify as an American Indian or Alaska Native, Asian, Black or African American, Hispanic or Latino, Native Hawaiian or Other Pacific Islander, or two or more races.
—Have extreme financial need
—Show creative talent and promise
—Be a citizen or permanent resident of the United States
—Maintain satisfactory academic and creative progress as determined by one’s school. If the scholarship recipient leaves the school by transferring or not completing the program the scholarship will be revoked.

Scholarship applications are due to the 4A’s by Wednesday, September 12, 2012. Please see the attached application below for more information.

On the application, you should list Jeff Bellantoni as the Faculty rep., phone number . Please note that each year, one or two students in our program receive this scholarship, so if you are eligible we encourage you to apply.
