Adjunct Assistant Professor

Full-time educator, designer, studio founder, taurus, omnivore. Part-time musician, photographer, collector, mastermind.

Mark Sanders is a designer and educator with a BS in Architectural Design from Clemson University and an MFA in Visual Communications from Virginia Commonwealth University. He has taught identity, systems and publication design at Rutgers University in Newark, experimental typography at Parsons School of Design as well as typography, design and technology in the MS and MFA Graduate Communications Design programs at Pratt. Currently he is a full time faculty member at Maryland Institute College of Art in the Graphic Design department. Mark also co-founded the multi-disciplinary design studio Q Collective in 2002 where he designs and produces interactive projects, identities, literature systems, promotional items and exhibitions for a diverse group of clients. His interactive design work has been honored by AIGA as well as the IAWMD and has received an American Graphic Design award for identity. His work has also been published by the New York Times, HOW Magazine and in books on typography, identity, interactive and systems design.

Mark teaches in the MFA Communications Design program.
