Ex Libris
EX LIBRIS is a hybrid library and exhibition space. Created by and for Pratt GradComD students, it is an evolving, versatile and collaborative project. EX LIBRIS is Latin for "from the library of." The current book collection, Begin Anywhere, marks the first of what we hope will become many biannual student-curated exhibitions, selected from our own libraries and the libraries of others.
Find out more information about the books we've chosen, and the project, here–http://exlibris.prattgradcomd.com–or come visit the space itself! And, most importantly: come celebrate the first of what we hope will be many library/exhibitions in our studio tomorrow evening, from 7–8PM.

Public Project: Design Advocacy & GradComD
By Josh Eriksen, GradComD student
In 1964, and then again in 2000, groups of designers formed a collective voice in manifestoes titled First Things First.

Thrills
Design plays a central and formative role in shaping communities, technology and business. Pratt’s Graduate Communications and Package Design (GradComD) programs prepare individuals to pursue design with passion and cultural relevance. In our distinctive programs, we explore design as a means for communicating meaningful messages, organizing information, and creating compelling experiences.
Pratt Institute’s Graduate Communications + Package Design (GradComD) programs have been educating graphic and package designers for over 40 years. We currently offer a 60-credit Master of Fine Arts (MFA) degree and a 48-credit Master of Science (MS) degree. Located in Manhattan, the program is ranked in the top 10 of over 200 graduate design programs in the nation, as reported in U.S. News & World Report rankings.
