Job Description:
The Center for Career and Professional Development (CCPD) is in search of a creative and detail-oriented Graduate Design Assistant to conceptualize, develop and design marketing and promotional materials under tight deadlines.

The Graduate Assistant:

  1. Design print and online advertisements and promotional materials, including static and animated ads, printed collateral and develop campaigns in both print and social media
  2. Helps to design, lay-out, and organize seasonal program and workshop support materials, departmental brochures, TV screen promotions
  3. Participates in the creation of Social Media Campaigns
  4. Designs and builds mobile landing pages and websites

Job Requirements:

  • A Pratt Student in a Graduate Degree Program
  • Prior design, advertising or promotions experience
  • Written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills, strong attention to detail; able to turn around projects quickly and multitask
  • Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite: Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator
  • Willingness to amend designs in order to fit the needs of CCPD
  • Knowledge of Adobe Flash, Adobe Dreamweaver and html coding would be a plus
  • Ability to be flexible, friendly and able to work with a variety of CCPD staff members and Peer workers while juggling department priorities

Job Description:

  • Under the supervision of the Director of Disability Resource Center successful candidate will perform the following technical functions.
  • Perform maintenance work on the various DRC pages, including such things as updating text and links, removing or adding information, and rearranging basic information layout utilizing the content management system;
  • Work with staff to develop a solution that meets their needs, including gaining a proper understanding of their request and timeline, and establishing realistic expectations of the completed project;
  • Gather feedback from staff during the process and after the implementation of the changes.

Job Requirements:

  • Enrolled in a degree-granting graduate program at Pratt and are in good standing.
  • Programming skills to design, develop, and maintain Web pages in ASP.NET
  • Proficient in ASP.NET C# or VB, HTML, SQL and CMS systems like Expression Engine, Wordpress, etc.
  • Knowledge in database design
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
  • Good organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Experience with ASP, ColdFusion and browser compatibility issues helpful
