SAVI seeks one graduate assistant for Spring 2014 semester from each of these departments:

ABOUT SAVI:

PROCEED, Inc is a nonprofit in Elizabeth, NJ. The agency is currently looking to hire a graphic designer to create a new logo. Ideally, they’d like this creative brief to be disseminated to current students and recent graduates.

DESCRIPTION:
Development of a new logo that best represents the organization and is reflective of our tagline.

OBJECTIVES:

• By January 15, 2014, submit three distinct logo designs for PROCEED’s review.
• By February 1, 2014, submit final version of new logo in usable file formats.

Freelancing, Part II: Working with a Recruiter

The Freelancing series hosted by the Center for Career & Professional Development will continue with Part II: Working with a Recruiter.

THE PROGRAM:

Each year, Pratt partners with the Danish Institute for Study Abroad and offers courses in the summer in either 3- or 7-week sessions. Students are able to enroll either one or both sections.

There are a variety of programs at DIS including graphic design, architecture, furniture design, cognitive psychology, and others. While GradComD would prefer that you take the graphic design course, the department will support any choice you make.

Please note that the 7-week section is only counted for 6 elective credits.

Professor/advisor Scott Menchin will be doing a book signing alongside many great authors and illustrators on November 23rd at the Brooklyn Museum Children's Book Fair.

BROOKLYN MUSEUM CHILDREN'S BOOK FAIR:
Meet your favorite Brooklyn authors and illustrators at this free event featuring storybooks, picture books, graphic novels, and, for the first time, books for young adults! Enjoy presentations by Melissa Guion, Oliver Jeffers, and Adam Gidwitz. Includes games and activities for all ages.
